February is the month of love. With Valentine’s Day just over a week away let’s help set the mood with another Transformers: REANIMATED tale. Issue 54: Hounded Part 2 is here!
This month’s cover sees the return of the incredible artist talents of Casey Coller and John-Paul Bove. It features an overpowered Hound, in space with a broken-up Autobot symbol floating off in the background. I love how this cover conveys how much power Hound is wielding. If you aren’t scared of him, you should be.
So hold the one you love most and pour into this epic story by downloading it for free.
With Hound’s mind completely overtaken by his malevolent holographic AI chip, Skids makes a stand to save his Autobot friend. Recalling an adventure from the past, the miniaturized team of Perceptor, Bumblebee, Brawn and Red Alert prepare for a ‘fantastic voyage’ into Hound’s body, but the AI chip’s power grows evermore. Can the Autobots save Hound from the AI chip’s psychological control? Or will its desire for power prove too much for the Autobots to handle?
Casey Coller and John-Paul Bove have done several covers for Transformers: REANIMATED before. Today they have returned with a cover that was inspired by David Finch and his Green Lantern variant cover for the 80th Anniversary 100-page spectacular.
Written by Greig Tansley from the Unfunny Nerd Tangent podcast and Youseph (Yoshi) Tanha from the YoshiCast, this G1 adventure follows in the Transformers: ReAnimated tradition of bridging the gap between the cartoon’s second season and the 1986 Movie that defined the childhood of millions.
So, if you *did* like issue 55: Hounded Part 2, then please consider contacting SKYBOUND Entertainment (Via E-mail or Twitter) and let them know you would have liked to see Transformers: REANIMATED as an ongoing comic book series written by Yoshi and Greig.
