November is here and man, is it cold! Time to warm up with some chicken soup and the latest issue of Transformers: REANIMATED. We call this latest issue, Skybound! Why did we call it Skybound? Well, you know, because it’s all about the Decepticon aerial assassins known as Seekers. I mean, why else would we call this issue Skybound?

This month’s cover comes from a fantastic team of Transformers comic book artists: RD Blade, RED, and Josh Burcham! And because this issue is all about high-speed aerial combat, we wanted the cover to feel cinematic. The creative power team of RD Blade on pencils, RED’s ink work, and Josh Burcham bringing on the colors have brought home our movie poster vision for issue 64.

After Starscream arrogantly bails out Thundercracker and Skywarp from an aerial dog fight with the Autobots, the two Decepticon flyers remember a time, millions of years ago, when they became part of the Decepticon elite squadron known as “seekers”. But the rise from lowly pilots to advanced aerial assassins was not without its tribulations. As Skywarp and Thundercracker quickly learn, proving you’re the best of the best can be more than meets the eye.

We’re so glad that RD Blade and Josh Burcham have returned to create this month’s cover for us. And having RED on inks has only elevated the team’s artwork. Inspiration for this new cover comes from a poster we found for Top Gun: Maverick.

This month we are also introducing the first in a new set of Corner Box Characters we will be adding to our cover rotation.

Created by Casey Collar and John-Paul Bove, November’s corner box brings in Starscream.

Written by Greig Tansley from the Unfunny Nerd Tangent podcast and Youseph (Yoshi) Tanha from the YoshiCast, this G1 adventure follows in the Transformers: ReAnimated tradition of bridging the gap between the cartoon’s second season and the 1986 Movie that defined the childhood of millions.

So, if you did like issue 64: Skybound, then please consider contacting the other SKYBOUND Entertainment (Via E-mail or Twitter) and let them know you would have liked to see Transformers: REANIMATED as an ongoing comic book series written by Yoshi and Greig.
