Luck 13, Part 1: A dramatic new adventure from Transformers: REANIMATED!

Transformers: REANIMATED Issue 68 is ready to blow your mind! Who needs ‘Wreck and Rule’ when you have ‘Lucky 13’?

To bring this otherworldly story to life, we’ve asked the amazing Transformers artist Dan Khanna back to bring us an action-packed cover that captures the excitement of this issue. It’s retro, it’s futuristic. It’s More Than Meets The Eye!

In the chaos of battle on Cybertron, Powerglide dares the impossible, attempting to seize control of the mysterious Kronocube from the clutches of the evil Decepticons. But luck is not on his side, as the Kronocube unexpectedly powers up, hurling the ace aerial combatant straight into Cybertron’s Golden Age… in a future controlled by a new Decepticon Empire of dominance. Stranded with no way back, Powerglide must join forces with a small band of surviving Autobots. Together, they hatch a risky plan to infiltrate the Decepticon stronghold, capture the Kronocube, and correct the past. But standing in their way is a vigilant Decepticon army, led by the menacing Skyscorchers and the twisted Jhiaxus. Can the overconfident Powerglide pull off a rescue mission in the future, or has his daring-do bravery doomed them all?

We are so happy that Dan Khanna is back on a new Transformers: REANIMATED cover. He really captured the chaotic action of this story with his cover inspired by Allen Milgrom’s cover for Logan’s Run Issue 1.

This month we are also introducing the fourth in a new set of Corner Box Characters we will be adding to our cover rotation.

Created by Casey Collar and John-Paul Bove, January’s corner box brings in G2 Megatron.

Written by Greig Tansley from the Unfunny Nerd Tangent podcast and Youseph (Yoshi) Tanha from the YoshiCast, this G1 adventure follows in the Transformers: ReAnimated tradition of bridging the gap between the cartoon’s second season and the 1986 Movie that defined the childhood of millions.
