Spook-A-Boo! October is finally here. It’s time for Halloween, Scary Movies, and Pumpkin Spice EVERYTHING!!! It’s also time for a brand new, thrilling issue of Transformers: REANIMATED. This one is titled, Grapples Great Haul!

October’s cover comes to you from Transformers comic book artist, Dan Khannah! His cover brings a sense of true fear and dread with his menacing take on Devastator, as he lifts his massive body up and over Grapple, Hoist, and Kranix.

Will our Autobot friends survive? Will The Decepticon devastate? Find out by downloading Transformers: REANIMATED issue 63, Grapple’s Great Haul, for free!

After receiving a call for help from Scoop on behalf of the meticulous scientist, Kranix – Skyfire transports First Aid, Skids, Hoist and Grapple to the planet Lithone. There, they begin to assist Kranix with an important architectural repair. But will a surprise attack from the Decepticons and the mighty Devastator keep the Autobots from completing their mission? And will Grapple’s past connections with the Constructicons get in the way of Lithone’s future?

We love having Dan Khanna on our covers. He works so hard to make sure our covers feel like the 1980s G1 cartoon. And today’s cover is no exception. Inspiration for his cover comes from Jack Kirby and Steve Ditko’s work on the cover for Strange Tales, issue 79.

Greig and I want to take a moment to acknowledge the passing of Peter Renaday, the talented voice actor who brought life to Autobot Grapple and the villainous, Lord Chumley, in the original Transformers series.

I had the good fortune to meet Mr. Renaday at TFCon Burbank in March of 2019. I thanked him for his work on Transformers and let him know how much of a positive impact that old cartoon had on me.

Fittingly, today’s issue of REANIMATED feels like a tribute in itself. Our issues are written and covers commissioned months in advance, but it so happens that this month’s issue, featuring Grapple on the cover, coincides with the recent passing of Mr. Renaday. We’re honored that, in this small way, we’re able to pay tribute to a man whose voice helped define the childhood of millions.

Written by Greig Tansley from the Unfunny Nerd Tangent podcast and Youseph (Yoshi) Tanha from the YoshiCast, this G1 adventure follows in the Transformers: ReAnimated tradition of bridging the gap between the cartoon’s second season and the 1986 Movie that defined the childhood of millions.

So, if you *did* like issue 63: Grapples Great Haul!, then please consider contacting SKYBOUND Entertainment (Via E-mail or Twitter) and let them know you would have liked to see Transformers: REANIMATED as an ongoing comic book series written by Yoshi and Greig.
