Transformers: REANIMATED is fan fiction based on the original cartoon series that bridges the gap between the end of the seminal second season and the 1986 Movie that defined the childhood of millions. Written by Youseph (Yoshi) Tanha and Greig Tansley.
Youseph (Yoshi) Tanha
Residing in Washington State’s Pacific Northwest, Yoshi is a stay-at-home father and former co-host of the Transformers themed podcast, TransMissions.
Before co-hosting Transmissions, Yoshi spent his time collecting the original 1980s run of Transformers Marvel comic books. Once he had acquired all the issues he read each one and wrote up a review on his site: YoshiCast.com.
Transformers is in Yoshi’s Marrow. Being a diehard G1 Transformers fan from the start and having collected action figures, VHS Tapes, posters, coloring books, signatures, and even an Optimus Prime cookie jar, Yoshi has wanted to be involved in Transformers in some creative way.
Together with Greig Tansley, the two have crafted some unique stories in an attempt to fill the gap left between the end of the second season and the 1986 Animated movie which jumps ahead 20 years.
Greig Tansley
From Brisbane, Australia, Greig is a 40-year fan of comic books, film, television and an all round pop-culture enthusiast, currently focusing his nerd powers as leading contributor and host of the irreverent podcast website: Unfunny Nerd Tangent.
His childhood love of Transformers, Masters of the Universe and Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles was soon joined by a reverence for comic book stories, including Batman, Superman, Spider-Man and Watchmen, evolved to include classic franchises such as Star Trek, Star Wars, Red Dwarf and Lord of the Rings, as well as a fondness for the all-time greats of cinema like Jaws, Back to the Future, Rocky and The Godfather.
Now (with Yoshi), he brings his unique sense of humor and distinct Aussie storytelling perspective to a project designed to capture the attention of those seeking to rediscover their love of nostalgia, and relive the joys of childhood once again.
